For those seeking a distinctive and memorable adventure in Argentina, rural tourism at Estancia El Galpón offers a wealth of activities designed to engage with the authentic Argentinian way of life.

Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel at 4:30 pm, followed by a brief 20-minute drive to the farm, where a homemade snack awaits to welcome you.

Once there, we will traverse the farm and observe the sheep as they graze, accompanied by experienced gauchos and their trusty herding dogs.

Next, we’ll encounter the local livestock and take a brief stroll along the shoreline of Lake Argentino, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of Patagonian wildlife while enjoying the sounds of birds in the background.

The tour continues with a visit to a historic 1912 barn, where you will gain insights into sheep shearing techniques and the selection of wool based on quality.

Time for dinner! Indulge in a traditional Patagonian feast of roast lamb, complemented by an array of fresh salads and vegetables. After dining, we will return to the hotels in El Calafate, expected to arrive around 10 pm.
