Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel scheduled between 1:30 and 2 pm. We will head towards our initial stop, Shark Bay, where you will encounter the remarkable lemon sharks up close. Here, you will have the chance to engage in a 20-minute swim with these gentle creatures.

Following this exhilarating experience, we will proceed to the quaint village of Pedra de Lume, recognized as the first settlement on the island of Sal. As we wander through its remnants, you will gain insight into the vital role of the salt industry in shaping the island’s history, through artifacts and tools that were instrumental in salt extraction.

The tour culminates with a visit to the Pedra de Lume salt marshes, the only salt lagoon in the world that exists within a dormant volcanic crater. Prepare to be captivated by the vibrant hues that characterize this stunning landscape. We will also inspect the cable car that historically transported salt from Pedra de Lume.

At the conclusion of our journey, you will be returned to your hotel in Santa Maria by approximately 5 pm.
