Morro São José Hiking Experience

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Fernando de Noronha at a time of your choosing. We will proceed to Morro São José, where our hiking expedition will begin, revealing the hidden gems of the islet and its vicinity. Let’s embark on this journey!

During low tide, a stone pathway emerges that we'll follow to ascend the hilltop. However, swimming may also be an option if the sea conditions permit, adding an element of thrill to our adventure!

Once on the island, we will commence our hike led by an ICMBio accredited guide, as the trail presents a moderate level of challenge. You’ll be enchanted by the volcanic scenery; don’t miss the chance to capture memorable photos of this breathtaking locale. Throughout the excursion, we'll also find an opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in a natural pool, one of the area’s most picturesque highlights.

After approximately two hours of exploration, we’ll conclude our journey by returning to your hotel in Fernando de Noronha.

ICMBio Appointment

To join this hiking excursion, an appointment with ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation) is required. This must be arranged in person by the visitor who possesses an entry ticket to the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, as online reservations are not permitted.

It’s advisable to schedule your appointment on the day of your arrival. The trails can be reserved up to 6 days in advance, with each visitor allowed to book for a maximum of 6 individuals. Reservations for this activity can only be completed after obtaining an appointment with ICMBio.
