Tour Overview for 2 Days

Day 1: Journey to the Western Region of Madeira

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Funchal, where we'll board a comfortable minibus to traverse the west side of Madeira. Along the way, we'll make numerous stops to uncover charming villages and breathtaking natural sights!

Our first major stop is Cabo Girão, boasting a glass platform that hangs over a cliff, providing spellbinding views – perfect for capturing memorable photographs!

Continuing our ride, we will cross through Ribeira Brava, pause at the scenic Boca da Encumeada viewpoint, and arrive at the expansive Paul da Serra plateau.

The next location is Madalena do Mar, where we will meander through lush banana fields. Following that, we will visit Fonte do Bispo and Porto Moniz, with a lunch break planned midway.

After lunch, we will marvel at the natural pools of Seixal, then proceed to the charming village of São Vicente, well-known for its lovely chapels and tranquil valley setting.

As this action-packed day concludes, we will arrive at Câmara de Lobos, a delightful fishing village famous for its colorful boats by the pier. Interestingly, this area is also known for producing the finest Madeira wine from local vineyards.

We'll return to Funchal around 5 pm, wrapping up our day of exploration.

Day 2: Discovering the Eastern Region of Madeira

Prepare for an exhilarating day! We will collect you from your hotel to commence the second day of our tour with a visit to the famous Christ the King statue in Garajau, a notable icon along Madeira's eastern coastline.

Next, we head to Machico, the second-largest city and original capital of the island. Here, you will uncover significant historical sites before we set forth to Ponta de São Lourenço, located at the easternmost tip of Madeira.

Our journey then takes us to Porto da Cruz and Santana, where you will enjoy a lunch break lasting 1.5 hours. Rejuvenated, we make our way to Ribeiro Frio and ascend to Pico do Arieiro, the island's third-highest peak.

As the day comes to a close, we will return to Funchal, arriving at your hotel by 5 pm.

Hotel Collection Information

This tour provides pickup from hotels located in central Funchal at 9 am or from the tourist districts at 9:15 am.

For certain accommodations situated in areas with limited access, narrow streets, or older roads in Funchal's historic center, or if located in higher regions of the city, it is required that you proceed to the designated meeting point.

For those staying in remote parts of the city or other locations on Madeira Island, please note that we will arrange pickup at the following meeting point in Funchal: Rua 5 de Outubro, 78.

Tour Option with Lunch

If you opt for the version of the tour that includes lunch, you will be treated to a complete meal offering a choice between meat or fish, along with a beverage, dessert, and coffee.
