Enchanted Terraces Off-Roading Half-Day Trip

On this off-road adventure to the Enchanted Terraces, you will delve into the essence of the island, discovering laurissilva forests designated as a World Heritage Site, picturesque rural trails on terraces, stunning waterfalls, and iconic volcanic rock natural pools.

Half-Day Trip Overview

At the appointed time, we'll meet at your chosen starting point to kick off our scenic journey towards the Serra d'Água. This incredible steep valley surrounded by majestic mountains offers remarkable views of the peaks contrasted with the vast plateau that defines the island.

Our first destination is the Encumeada terrace, where we will venture deep into the vast laurisilva forest and appreciate stunning ocean vistas from a great height. As we navigate through ancient forest pathways, feel the thrill of exhilaration before we arrive at Ginjas, our subsequent waypoint.

Long pathways will lead us across the tropical jungle, where the distinctive sounds of birds, especially prominent in Paul da Serra, will transport you away from the daily grind.

In Fanal, we will be captivated by the graceful cascade of waterfalls just before they pour into the ocean. Upon reaching Porto Moniz, we will witness the lava formations which have given rise to some of the most breathtaking pools globally. Weather, sea conditions, and operational hours permitting, you may have the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim in these waters.

Following a day filled with exploration, we will commence our return to the initial pickup points in an off-road vehicle.

During the booking, select your preferred departure location:

• Zone 1: Funchal and Caniço.
• Zone 2 (5EUR supplement): Puerto de Funchal, Ponta do Sol, and Câmara de Lobos.
• Zone 3 (10EUR supplement): Jardim da Serra, Calheta, São Vicente, Machico, and Santa Cruz.
• Zone 4 (15EUR supplement): Ponta Delgada, Porto da Cruz, Camacha, Santo Da Serra, and Caniçal.
• Zone 5 (20EUR supplement): Santana, Prazeres, Porto Moniz, Paul do Mar, Fajã da Ovelha, Faial, and Jardim do Mar.

Supplements are to be paid directly to the driver on the excursion day.

If you wish to arrange lunch at the Terraces, please let us know at the time of booking, as this is not part of the package. The menu price is 26EUR per person.
