Our private tours

If you have several days available in Funchal and would like to explore the island’s surroundings with a private tour guide, you can reserve any of our private tours. These tours last between 4 and 7 hours, including hotel pick-up, private transport in a 4x4, and an English-speaking guide.

The available trips are the following:

Eastern Madeira

On this tour around the east of the island, the exuberant nature will be your guide. We will visit places such as Porto da Cruz and Santana, where you can absorb the local traditions and culture. Nevertheless, if what you want is a spectacular panorama you will love the view from Pico do Arieiro.

Western Madeira

This 4x4 trip will follow the winding roads that cut through the western side of the island. You will discover the natural pools of Porto Moniz, the water channels of Ginjas and Paul da Serra, and other enchanting locations. An exhilarating 7-hour adventure which will leave you exhausted.

Half a day around Madeira

We start the excursion with a walk around from the heights of the glass platform at Cabo Girão (one of the highest summits in the whole of Europe). We will see the hidden valley behind it and the famous enchanted terraces of “Curral das Freiras”. There you will hear why it was given this special name.

Important information

The half day tour has departures at 2 pm and 2:30 pm, besides those already mentioned.

Collection points in Madeira

This activity includes free pick-up in zone 1 (Funchal or Caniço) at the specified time.

If your hotel in Madeira is in zones 2, 3, 4, or 5, you will have to pay a supplement to the driver on the day of the tour. If you prefer, we can also pick you up free of charge in the center of Funchal, next to the Cristiano Ronaldo statue and museum.

If you are staying in Airbnb accommodation, the meeting point will be in the center of each town.
