Embark on a captivating day trip to Cuenca, a city celebrated for its charm and often referred to as the Athens of Ecuador. Our journey begins in Guayaquil, where we will immerse ourselves in the culture and heritage of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Your adventure commences at 6 am with a pickup from your hotel in Guayaquil, after which we will head towards Cuenca. Upon arrival, a guided tour will be at your disposal to experience the city's key attractions.

Our first stop will be the colonial neighborhood of San Sebastian, followed by a visit to the Municipal Museum of Modern Art, where you can appreciate a diverse array of engravings, paintings, and sculptures that reflect contemporary artistic expressions.

Next, we will meander through the picturesque Plazuela de las Flores and the grand Abdón Calderón Squares, encircled by the historic cathedral and the magnificent Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. This impressive neo-Gothic structure took an astounding century to build, with its domes inspiring comparisons to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.

Following this, we will visit a toquilla straw hat factory, offering insight into the craftsmanship behind this iconic Ecuadorian emblem and its designation as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Leaving the factory, we will proceed to El Barranco, where you can marvel at the stunning vistas from the Turi viewpoint.

As we begin to feel hungry, a delightful lunch featuring a main dish and a refreshing drink awaits. Once we have satiated our appetites, we'll embark on a guided exploration of the La Paz craft brewery, learning about the brewing process and the historical German Purity Law of 1516. The experience concludes with tastings of freshly brewed beers from casks and bottles.

Our day winds down as we journey back to Guayaquil, with an expected drop-off at your hotel around 4 pm.
