Upon arrival, you will embark on a guided exploration of this 16th-century citadel, delving into intriguing theories that suggest it might have served as a solar and lunar observatory. As we tour the plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the burial sites, and the storage facilities, we'll share fascinating stories about this significant Cañari settlement.

Next, we'll recharge our spirits at a local eatery with a traditional meal. Choose between mote (cooked grains) or fritada (crispy pork). With our appetites satisfied, we will journey to Chordeleg, renowned for its exquisite handicrafts, where you can admire creations crafted from toquilla straw, metal, gold, silver, and clay. This town boasts over 100 jewelry shops, renowned for their adherence to traditional goldsmithing techniques.

Our final destination will be Gualaceo, where we will meander through vibrant markets filled with fresh produce. You'll also have the opportunity to visit a macana workshop, gaining insight into this fascinating historical textile craft.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Guayaquil, with an estimated drop-off time of 5:30 pm.
