Welcome to the vibrant capital of China's Zhejiang province. On this guided walking excursion in Hangzhou, we will explore notable landmarks such as Lingyin Temple and West Lake.

Tour Overview

Upon reserving your guided experience in Hangzhou, you have the option to select either a half-day or a full-day tour. Both options feature an English-speaking guide, begin at Exit C of Longxiangqiao Metro Station, and conclude close to West Lake or Hefang Street.

Half-Day Experience (3.5 hours)

To start, we will wander through West Lake Riverside Park, where the changing seasons bring forth stunning views: peach blossoms in spring, lush willows in summer, fragrant osmanthus in autumn, and tranquil snow in winter, resulting in a picturesque landscape.

Our subsequent destination is Lingyin Temple, recognized as the foremost Buddhist center in southeastern China. This sanctuary, established in 326 AD and surrounded by fertile hills, is renowned for its halls and impressive limestone carvings hewn directly into the cliffs.

Following our temple exploration, we will proceed to Hefang Street, a vibrant commercial artery that has maintained its traditional allure for over 1,000 years.

Full-Day Experience (8.5 hours)

This full-day itinerary incorporates the same initial stops as the half-day tour, with visits to West Lake Riverside Park and Lingyin Temple.

Then, we will visit the renowned Longjing tea plantations, a sprawling area where we will gain insight into the methods of cultivating and producing one of China’s finest teas.

Next, we will arrive at Hefang Shopping Street, allowing for 1 hour of free time for lunch. Once you have refueled, we will dive deeper into this historic street dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty.

To culminate our day, we will return to West Lake for a breathtaking view of the Jixian Pavilion, a prime spot to admire the sunset, marking the end of our tour.

While the guided tour primarily involves walking, taxi transport may be necessary in certain cases within the West Lake area. The approximate cost is around 80 CNY for a group of up to five people.
