5-Day Journey Through North Vietnam
Day 1: Departure from Hanoi – Halong Bay Adventure
Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Hanoi between 8:00 and 8:30 am, followed by a scenic drive to Halong Bay. Upon arrival, we will board our vessel, setting sail across the tranquil emerald waters while savoring the stunning vistas of unique karst formations and relishing a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
After the meal, activities will vary based on the weather conditions and tide. You may explore the Dark & Bright Cave, enjoy a traditional bamboo boat ride, partake in kayaking, or swim in the serene Lan Ha Bay. Each experience promises enjoyment!
The day will conclude with a picturesque sunset from the deck, complemented by a Vietnamese cooking class before we dine onboard.
Day 2: Halong Bay to Hanoi – Transfer to Sapa
Awakening to the breathtaking views of the bay at 8 am, you'll start your day with a scrumptious breakfast. As we continue our cruise, you can participate in an invigorating Tai Chi session on the ship's deck to harmonize your body and mind.
Following our return to the port at approximately 3 pm, we will travel back to Hanoi, where you'll have approximately 6 hours of leisure time before boarding a sleeper bus to Sapa. The bus journey will be overnight.
Day 3: Sapa – Trekking Adventure in Ta Van
Upon arrival in Sapa early in the morning, we’ll drop our luggage at the hotel and enjoy breakfast before embarking on an exhilarating hike through the stunning landscapes of Ta Van. This route spans nearly 12 miles, showcasing picturesque rice terraces, as we stop for lunch in the charming village of Lao Chai.
After immersing ourselves in the beauty of Lao Chai, our trek leads us through Y Linh Ho back to T? Van. To cap off the day, we’ll gather for a toast with delightful rice liquor during our evening meal.
Day 4: Ta Van – Return to Hanoi
Starting with an early rise to witness the sunrise over the rice fields, a hearty breakfast awaits as we prepare for another invigorating 7-kilometer trek. This hike brings us uphill to panoramic views and a stunning waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in a scenic pool. Later, we will retrace our steps back to the hotel through a serene bamboo grove.
Following lunch, we’ll make our way back to Hanoi, expected to arrive at around 9:30 pm, allowing for dinner at your leisure.
Day 5: Hanoi – Ninh Binh Exploration – Back to Hanoi
On the final day, pick-up will commence at 7:15 am for our journey to Ninh Binh. Here, you'll explore Hoa Lu, the historical capital of Vietnam, alongside a visit to the stunning Mua Cave (Cave of Dance). Climbing 500 steps to the viewpoint rewards you with breathtaking scenery.
After a meal at a local restaurant, we will visit the exquisite Bich Dong Pagoda. The day continues with a relaxing boat ride in the Van Long Nature Reserve, where, if fortune favors you, you may even catch a glimpse of the rare Delacour's langur, one of the world's endangered species.
