2-Day Yécora Adventure

Day 1: Departing from Hermosillo to Yécora

At the scheduled hour, we will collect you from your hotel in Hermosillo and embark on our journey to Yécora, a charming town located within the heart of the Sierra Madre Oriental. The minibus ride will span close to five hours.

Upon reaching our destination, we will store our luggage at the hotel and delight in a satisfying lunch. Following our meal, we will make our way to Rancho La Cueva for an invigorating 3-kilometer hike that leads us to the summit of a prominent rocky outcrop. The panoramic views from this vantage point are truly breathtaking!

During our journey, you will also have the opportunity to experience a 40-minute horseback ride through the lush coniferous forests that once served as the homeland for the Tarahumara Indigenous Peoples. We will conclude the day with a delightful dinner featuring a variety of grilled meats.

Day 2: Exploring Yécora before returning to Hermosillo

We will kick off the day with breakfast at the hotel and then venture to the edge of town to see a fascinating forked tree shaped like a 'Y'. Next, we will explore the town center of Yécora, where you can take in the sights of the main square, the colorful letters that represent the town, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe along with other notable landmarks.

Afterward, we will enjoy a picnic-style lunch before making our way to Mesa del Campanero. In this local town, we'll visit a nearby vegetable garden to gain insights into the region's traditional products. Lastly, we will visit the Mirador El Bordo viewpoint to appreciate the vast stretches of verdant pine forests.

Ultimately, we will return to Hermosillo, with an anticipated arrival back at your hotel by 8 pm.
