San José del Pacífico Excursion
Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Huatulco at 7 am, as we embark toward San José del Pacífico, known for its breathtaking mountain scenery!
As we drive for approximately three hours to our destination, enjoy the enchanting vistas and charming villages of the southern Oaxaca region. The route will reveal ocote pine forests, holm oak woodlands, vibrant blue mahoe, as well as delicate mosses, mushrooms, and sparkling streams. This area’s biodiversity is truly captivating!
Prior to reaching our final stop, we will take a break in the quaint community of Pluma Hidalgo, famous for its exceptional pluma coffee. Here, savor a delightful cup of organic coffee, explore the town’s main square, visit its church, and enjoy sweeping views from a scenic viewpoint.
Continuing our journey, we will arrive at San José del Pacífico, situated at an elevation of 2350 meters (7709 feet) in the southern highlands. Here, experience the thrill of swinging out over the void or wander through the serene pine forests—be sure to have your camera ready to capture the stunning natural viewpoints!
For those seeking a moment of relaxation, we'll guide you to a temazcal nestled in nature. Curious about what that is? Following this refreshing experience, you will have leisure time for lunch at one of the local restaurants.
Our excursion concludes with a return to your hotel in Huatulco by 7 pm.

Accessible only for folding chairs. An accompanying person is required. This must be indicated in the reservation. Accessible toilets.
Important information
On the day of the activity, we will pick you up from your hotel in Huatulco at the indicated time.
We recommend being at the reception 10 to 15 minutes in advance.
Additional information
It is advisable to bring clothes for the cold, and a change of clothes if you wish to take a medicinal steam bath, as well as cash for meals and souvenir purchases.
