Estambul Byzantine & Christian Tour + Bosphorus Cruise

On this tour, we will journey back to the past of Constantinople to explore its ancient walls and the most vibrant neighborhoods of Istanbul. The experience will also include a sail along the waters of the Bosphorus on a luxury cruise.

Tour Details

After hotel pickup, we’ll visit the impressive Walls of Constantinople, constructed in the 4th century. These fortifications remained invincible for centuries. We will delve into their strategic importance while enjoying panoramic views of the city.

Next, we will explore Yedikule Fortress, known as the Fortress of the Seven Towers. Inside, we’ll discover its famous dungeons and view the Golden Gate, the monumental entrance for Byzantine emperors returning from battle.

Our itinerary includes a stop at the Kariye Museum, or Church of the Holy Savior in Chora. Here, we will admire its Byzantine mosaics and frescoes, regarded as some of the best and most beautiful in existence.

We’ll then immerse ourselves in the multicultural atmosphere of the Fener and Balat neighborhoods. As we navigate their cobbled streets, we’ll visit the Church of St. Stephen of the Bulgars, an architectural gem made of iron, and the Church of St. Mary of Blachernae, known for its sacred spring. Additionally, we will stop at the Church of St. George (Aya Yorgi), a tranquil site that preserves centuries of Orthodox heritage.

To conclude the day, we’ll board a luxury boat for a Bosphorus cruise. As we sail between two continents, we’ll enjoy views of iconic landmarks such as the Dolmabahçe Palace, the Rumeli Fortress, and the grand bridges uniting Europe and Asia. During the cruise, tea and Turkish coffee will be served along with snacks.

Before concluding our journey, we will stop in the charming village of Kanl?ca, located on the Asian shore. Here, you will have the chance to try its famous traditional yogurt before returning to the port.

We will return you to your hotel after approximately 7 hours of exploration.
