Primero, nos dirigiremos a nuestra primera mezquita, la Hagia Sophia. Construida en el siglo VI d.C. por el emperador bizantino Justinian I, este templo fue en sus inicios una catedral cristiana ortodoxa en el antiguo Constantinopla. A lo largo de casi 1,500 años, este monumento ha funcionado como iglesia católica, mezquita e incluso museo. Tu guía proporcionará información sobre el exterior de la mezquita y luego tendrás la oportunidad de entrar y explorar por tu cuenta utilizando una guía de audio.
A continuación, nos dirigiremos a la Blue Mosque, conocida originalmente como la Sultan Ahmed Mosque. ¿Sabías que numerosos expertos la consideran la obra maestra de la arquitectura otomana? Este prestigio se debe a las tonalidades de los azulejos que adornan su interior con elaborados patrones geométricos.
La última parada del recorrido será la Suleymaniye Mosque, que se mantuvo como la mezquita más grande de Estambul durante más de 450 años. Además de su tamaño impresionante, este templo es célebre por su creador, el afamado Mimar Sinan, quien fue el arquitecto y ingeniero civil principal durante los reinados de Suleimán el Magnífico, Selim II y Murad III.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the indicated time at the German Fountain in Sultanahmet (Binbirdirek, Atmeydanı Cd., 34122 Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey). Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes in advance. The guide will be holding a sign with a white background with TripGuru written on it.
Important Info
If you have chosen the option without entrance to the Hagia Sophia Basilica, you'll have to buy the skip-the-line tickets in advance. These tickets will cost 25EUR per person. The local tour operator will send you a purchase link by email. If you do not buy tickets in advance, you'll have to wait 1-2 hours at the entrance.
The ticket is free for children under 8. However, this ticket can only be given at the ticket office by showing your passport. This process often delays the rest of the group, so we recommend purchasing tickets for children online. Although you'll have to pay the corresponding fee if you purchase the tickets online, you will avoid the queues at the ticket office.
Audio Guide in Hagia Sophia
Due to local regulations, the guide will not be able to give you a tour of the interior of the Hagia Sophia Basilica. You'll be able to visit it on your own, without a live guide, following the explanations of an audio guide in English.
To listen to the audio guide, you'll have to scan a QR code on your cell phone. Remember to bring your own headphones. Otherwise, you'll have to buy a headset for a price of 100TRY (3EUR) per unit.
To enter Hagia Sophia, you'll have to pay an entrance fee (in cash or credit card, in euros or Turkish lira), as museum cards are not accepted.
Additional Info
We strongly suggest bringing a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and footwear for the hike, a scarf to cover your hair if you're female and some cash.
