Tour of Ottoman Istanbul & Asian Side
Description
In this tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of Ottoman Istanbul before crossing the Bosphorus Bridge to the Asian side of the city, an experience that you are sure to enjoy!
Tour Overview
At the specified time, we will gather at the meeting point selected during your reservation. Once everyone is present, we will embark on an immersive journey through Ottoman Istanbul along with its Asian side.
Our exploration begins in the vibrant Kuzguncuk neighbourhood, known for its picturesque streets and colourful houses. Prepare to marvel at beautiful examples of traditional architecture! Kuzguncuk boasts a rich cultural tapestry, influenced by Greek, Armenian, Jewish, and Islamic heritages. This charming area is home to a mosque, church, and synagogue, all coexisting harmoniously.
Kuzguncuk has also served as a filming location for various Turkish series such as Hat?rla Sevgili (Remember, Darling), Kuzey Güney (North, South), and Kara Sevda (Endless Love). If you're a fan of these dramas, you will likely recognize several spots as we stroll through before crossing the Bosphorus Strait to continue our adventure on the Asian side.
Upon arrival, we will tour the stunning Beylerbeyi Palace, a magnificent residence crafted from white marble in the 19th century under the commission of Sultan Abdulaziz. This palace features three main entrances, seven halls, and twenty-four exquisitely decorated rooms, surrounded by a lovely garden filled with magnolias.
Next, we will explore the charming Üsküdar neighbourhood and head towards the coastal promenade for breathtaking views of the iconic Maiden's Tower, a significant symbol of the city.
After approximately four hours, we will conclude this part of the tour at the Marmaray Uskudar station.
8-Hour Experience
For those desiring a more extensive adventure, the 8-hour option is available. After enjoying views of the Maiden's Tower from the promenade, we will guide you to a popular local restaurant, offering an opportunity to savor Turkish cuisine, should you choose.
Replenished, we will proceed to Kad?köy, a vibrant district filled with cafés, shops, and markets offering fresh produce. Our journey will culminate at the impressive Çaml?ca Mosque, noted for its grandeur and breathtaking vistas of Istanbul.
This extended tour will conclude in the bustling Taksim neighbourhood.
