Are you eager to uncover a hidden oasis within a semiarid environment? If so, we will meet you at your hotel in João Pessoa at the specified time and transport you to the trailhead for a 1.5-kilometre (0.93 miles) hike amidst stunning natural surroundings. Let the exploration commence!

You will traverse a hiking path that leads to the riverbed of the Paraíba, running through the caatinga, which translates to 'white forest' in the Tupi indigenous language. This unique biome is notable as the only one that is entirely Brazilian. Along our journey, we will pause at archaeological sites, where the Tupi Indians once resided, leaving behind visible traces that endure to this day. You’ll have the opportunity to observe red ink carvings that attest to the presence of this tribe.

Upon reaching the end of the path, we will encounter the awe-inspiring Pedra do Altar, a striking rock formation located near waterfalls and natural ofurôs—small pools that have developed along the river’s route. This enchanting location in the midst of a semi-arid landscape is sure to captivate you.

After taking some time to unwind by the waterfalls and pools, we will retrace our steps along the same hiking trail until we arrive at the restaurant on-site, where you can enjoy some free time for lunch if you choose.

Once you have recharged, we’ll transport you back to your hotel in João Pessoa, concluding our journey approximately 12 hours after the initial pickup.
