Day Trip Overview

At the agreed time, we will collect you from your hotel in João Pessoa and set off towards Campina Grande, the epicenter of San Juan festivities in Brazil's northeast region.

Following a journey of approximately 1.5 hours, we will arrive at Povo Park, where a themed bus awaits to transport us to the festival grounds. Onboard, a guide dressed in the traditional attire of a matuto will regale us with stories pertaining to local customs and culture.

As we travel, the sounds of forró pé de serra, played with accordion, zabumba, and triangle will fill the air. You’ll learn about typical songs, traditions, and fascinating facts from the northeast of Brazil!

While on the bus, you will also have the chance to enjoy the beloved cachacinhas de Paraíba, a local drink that complements the festive ambiance, alongside seasonal treats like popcorn and canjica. Delicious!

Upon reaching our destination, you'll find yourself amidst the lively streets of Campina Grande, where San Juan is celebrated. You’ll have 5 hours of leisure to fully relish the festivities, dance, and watch the vibrant quadrilhas juninas. Be sure to explore the festival's themed areas, which vary from year to year. Once our time comes to an end, we will regroup and bring you back to your hotel in João Pessoa, concluding our journey approximately 8 hours following pickup.
