Day Trip Overview

Your journey begins with a pickup at your hotel as we embark on an exciting exploration of Los Haitises National Park and the enchanting Cayo Levantado. Are you ready to explore the captivating northern region of the Dominican Republic?

Our bus journey of approximately three hours will take us to Santa Bárbara de Samaná, the first landmark of our trip. Here, we will transition to a boat for an excursion through the breathtaking keys of Los Haitises National Park.

As we navigate the waters, we’ll pass by small islands and mogotes emerging from the sea, witnessing a glimpse of the park’s rich terrestrial and maritime ecosystems, including lush mangroves and serene bays. These mangroves are known for supporting significant bird populations. During our journey, we will also discover caves adorned with Taíno art and petroglyphs, offering a unique historical insight.

Following our exploration of natural wonders and historical treasures, we will pause at the stunning Cueva de la Arena, a picturesque spot adjacent to the shore. Our adventure will then continue as we set sail towards the beautiful island of Cayo Levantado, where a delicious buffet lunch featuring traditional Dominican dishes awaits. Enjoy grilled chicken, fried fish, salads, and a variety of tropical fruits as part of your meal.

After relishing some time at the beach, we will begin our return trip, concluding a memorable day after 12 hours of exploration and enjoyment.
