Catamaran Cruise to Saona Island
Following your pickup from your hotel in Juan Dolio, we will proceed to the harbor of Bayahibe. At 9:30 am, it will be time to board the catamaran and embark on our journey through the clear Caribbean seas towards Saona Island. Interestingly, this area served as a filming location for segments of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Throughout the one-and-a-half-hour catamaran ride, you’ll delight in gorgeous ocean vistas while soaking up the sun on deck and enjoying Dominican music. We will also make a stop at the Blue Lagoon, a natural pool nestled in the sea, where you can swim alongside numerous starfish on this remarkable sandbank!
Upon arriving at Saona Island, you will be greeted by idyllic beaches dotted with coconut palms. After a refreshing swim, we'll replenish our energy with a traditional Dominican lunch consisting of rice, meat, fresh fish, salad, and tropical fruits - simply delightful!
Your afternoon will grant you three hours of leisure time on Las Palmillas beach, allowing you the freedom to stroll along the shore, take a dip in the ocean, or simply unwind on the sands… the choice is yours!
At 2:30 pm, we will return to the catamaran, beginning our journey back to the port of Bayahibe. During the cruise, get ready to enjoy bachata, merengue, and lively Caribbean tunes, culminating an unforgettable day!
Upon reaching the pier, we will transport you back to your hotel in Juan Dolio, arriving approximately eight hours after the tour commenced.

Please note that the starfish are in their wild natural environment and their sighting is not guaranteed.
The ride depends on the tides and, as it is a motorboat, the trip may be a bit rough. For this reason, the activity is not recommended for people with back or neck problems. In any case, all seats have backrests and, from the back of the boat, you will feel less movement.
If you are accompanied by children, please keep in mind valid documentation is required to show each child's age. Valid documentation includes a passport or a photo of a passport.
