The discoveries of frescoes, sculptures, and manuscripts in this site illustrate the refinement of the royal courts that governed these arid realms. Interestingly, Toprak-Kala was home to a grand hall embellished with 23 magnificent sculptures.

Next, we’ll move on to Kizil-Kala, often referred to as the red fortress, which served as a strategic defense outpost between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD.
