Koh Pha Ngan is an island that surprises visitors with its mountainous interior. There you'll find lush trails in Than Sadet–Ko Pha-Ngan National Park, where the Phaeng waterfall, one of the largest on the island, and the Than Sadet waterfall, once visited by Thai kings, stand out. From viewpoints such as Khao Ra, the highest point on the island, the views open up over the jungle and the gulf in an impressive panorama.
On the northwest coast, Koh Ma is connected to the island by a natural sandbar, forming one of the best spots for snorkeling thanks to its shallow reefs. Nearby, Mae Haad Beach has a relaxed atmosphere.
