This day trip to Samaná from La Romana offers an opportunity to explore the highlights of the northern region of the Dominican Republic, featuring sites such as the stunning El Limón waterfall and the idyllic island of Cayo Levantado.
Day Trip Overview
Our journey begins with a pickup from your hotel at the scheduled time. We will embark on a bus ride heading northeast towards the Dominican Republic. After a brief visit to the charming village of Miches, we will proceed to the port of Las Cañitas, where a picturesque catamaran awaits us!
Our sailing adventure will take us to the city of Samaná. Upon disembarking, we will hop onto a safari truck that will transport us deeper into the peninsula, eventually reaching the renowned El Limón waterfall. To reach the waterfall, you can either enjoy a 30-minute horseback ride or hike through the lush jungle environment, leading us to the foot of the cascading waters. Please note that the descent to the waterfall involves navigating a portion of 200 steps.
After capturing those essential photographs, we will head to a ranch for a well-deserved buffet lunch. Following our meal, we will make our way back by bus to Samaná, where we will board a boat destined for the island of Cayo Levantado, known for its Caribbean beauty. You will enjoy an hour of free time to relax on these postcard-perfect beaches at your own pace.
After soaking in the beauty of the island, we will reunite to take the boat back to Las Cañitas, arriving about thirty minutes later. Our adventure concludes with a return bus trip to La Romana, where we will drop you off at your hotel after a fulfilling 12-hour experience.
