Details of the Day Trip

Once we collect you from your hotel at the arranged hour, we'll embark on a journey westward toward Santo Domingo. After approximately a 1.5-hour drive, we will commence a guided exploration of the city's major attractions.

Our adventure begins at Los Tres Ojos, a breathtaking cave renowned for its picturesque freshwater lakes. Following this, we will view the exterior of the Columbus Lighthouse, believed to be the resting place of the famous navigator.

Our itinerary then takes us to the striking National Palace, an iconic structure representative of the city.

We will then delve into the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, kicking off with a visit to the Alcázar de Colón, the historic residence of the admiral. Our journey continues to the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, recognized as the First Cathedral of the Americas and the oldest cathedral in the continent.

After exploring the cathedral, we will wander along Calle de las Damas, the site of the first stone house constructed in the New World, before entering the National Pantheon, the honored burial site of notable figures from the nation’s past. Our walk will take us through Plaza de España, where you can enjoy the local outdoor cafés.

We will also make a stop at a souvenir store specializing in items crafted from larimar, a unique semiprecious stone that is exclusive to the Dominican Republic.

You will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy a delightful buffet lunch, featuring traditional offerings such as rice, meat stews, and beans. After replenishing your energy, we will stroll to the Malecón to take in stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Ultimately, we will return you to your hotel, completing the day 9 to 11.5 hours after pickup.

This excursion includes pickup from hotels situated in Bávaro, Punta Cana, Cap Cana, Uvero Alto, Bayahibe, Dominicus, La Romana, Juan Dolio, and Boca Chica.

Please note that we do not provide pickup in the Playa Nueva Romana vicinity (specifically the Bahía Príncipe La Romana and Bouganville hotels). In such cases, we will arrange for pickup at the Sunix Hacienda gas station (https://maps.app.goo.gl/psZK23kK7etsK4Uv9), located directly across from the Bahía Príncipe La Romana and Bouganville hotel complex. Drop-off will occur at the main entrance of the complex.
