Explore some of the most well-preserved funerary monuments from the New Kingdom during this comprehensive tour, which includes a visit to the tomb area of Ramses III as well as the necropolis of nobles and artisans.

Tour Overview

Your day will begin with a prompt pickup from your hotel, followed by a journey to the western banks of Luxor, home to the ancient Theban necropolis.

The first destination will be Medinet Habu, the site of Ramses III's burial temple, known as one of the key religious structures of the city. This grand entrance measures 63 meters in width and 22 meters in height, adorned with a depiction of the pharaoh overseeing the punishment of captives.

Next, we will proceed to the Valley of the Nobles, where over 500 tombs belonging to the elite of ancient Egypt await. We'll explore several of these tombs, admiring their intricate decorations: due to their lesser appeal to looters, these tombs have remained in significantly better condition than those of the royalty.

Your final stop will be Deir el-Medina, a community established by Thutmose I to accommodate workers and artisans of Ancient Egypt. For more than 450 years, this area housed the architects and decorators responsible for the royal tombs, and archaeological remnants illustrate its historical significance, making it one of the most thoroughly researched sites from that era.

The tour will conclude with a return to your hotel or accommodation on the boat.

This experience exclusively covers pickup and drop-off at hotels and boats located on the eastern banks (Right side) of the Nile River. You will be returned to the same location where you were initially collected.

For those whose accommodations are found on the western banks (left side) of the Nile, an alternative meeting point will be agreed upon on the Eastern side.
