Delmiro Gouveia Tour Overview

Our adventure commences at 3 am with a pickup from your hotel in Maceió, after which we will journey to one of Alagoas' key eco-tourism locations.

Our first stop will be at São José da Tapera, where you can enjoy breakfast at your leisure. Once you've replenished your energy, we will proceed onward to Delmiro Gouveia. Here, we will explore the Lameirão community, a stunning natural region that is working towards designation as an Ecological Park. This segment of the tour features a three-hour trek along the Caatinga Trails.

This 6-kilometer (3.7 miles) hike will offer opportunities to snap photos and cool off in the São Francisco River. This remarkable river traverses five states in Brazil, encompassing over 500 municipalities. After our adventure, we return to the community for a flavorful lunch featuring a traditional dish from Alagoas.

Post-lunch, you'll have free time to explore the community at your own pace. The local residents will showcase their customary practices and the agro-ecological crops cultivated in the Veredas da Caatinga.

Subsequently, we will venture into the rugged surroundings of Delmiro Gouveia. This pristine area is home to a fascinating collection of cave paintings that depict various animal forms. Can you name all the creatures illustrated in these ancient artworks?

To conclude the day, we will head back to your hotel in Maceió, with an expected arrival time of 8 pm.
