Miyajima Cultural Workshop Overview

Upon making your reservation, you can select an experience featuring either two or three cultural activities. All sessions commence at the Okeiko Japan Academy located in Miyajima.

Two Activity Option

Opting for this variant allows you to partake in two of the following experiences: a Japanese calligraphy session, an amulet crafting class, or a tea ceremony. Each of these engaging activities lasts for 30 minutes.

Upon arrival at the academy, your cultural journey will begin with assistance in donning a traditional kimono, setting the stage for the forthcoming activities.

If you select the calligraphy session, you'll master the art of inscribing your name in Japanese characters. Alternatively, in the crafting class, you'll uncover the process behind creating traditional Japanese amulets. Should you choose the tea ceremony, you will delve into the rich symbolism and significance that defines this beautiful ritual. The two-activity experience concludes after approximately 1.5 hours.

Three Activity Option

For those seeking a more comprehensive experience, this choice is perfect. After getting dressed in kimonos, you will engage in all three cultural workshops. An enjoyable and educational adventure awaits you! The entire session will wrap up after 2 hours.
