The journey begins at 8 am with a pickup from your accommodation in Morelia, followed by a drive towards the captivating Magical Town of Tacámbaro, celebrated for its rich culture and historical significance.
Your first stop will be on the edge of the town to experience the stunning Magdalena Lagoon, an idyllic lake enveloped by a lush coniferous forest. If you feel adventurous, take a refreshing dip to invigorate your spirits!
Next, you will discover the Chapel of María Magdalena, a 16th-century structure originally owned by Governor Cristóbal de Oñate, utilized by Augustinian monks in their efforts to convert indigenous inhabitants to Christianity.
Continuing on, you'll explore the heart of Tacámbaro, strolling through the Plaza del Santo Niño while admiring the local religious architecture, including the Cathedral, the Church of Fátima, and the Church of Guadalupe. Following this, you will have one hour to indulge in lunch and sample delightful local cuisines.
