Sal Island Private Tour
Description
This private tour of Sal Island allows you to explore one of the most intriguing locations in Cape Verde, accompanied by a dedicated English-speaking guide ready to unveil the island's remarkable landscapes.
Private Tour of Sal Island
Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Santa Maria at a prearranged time, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey through Sal, an island that will surely leave a lasting impression!
The inaugural stop will be Kite Beach, a popular venue for various water sports events, renowned for its strong winds. After soaking in the beauty of this celebrated beach, we’ll proceed to Porto Palmeira, a charming fishing village where you can stroll through and admire the vibrant houses.
Our adventure continues at the Pedra da Lume salt flat, where you'll have the chance to swim in a unique therapeutic salt lake, which is positioned inside a volcanic caldera—the only one of its kind in the world.
Once you've had the opportunity to unwind, our tour takes us to the mystical salt desert of Miragem, where an interesting optical phenomenon awaits. Next, we'll head to Buracona, where you will enjoy an hour to explore and swim in the Blue Eye Cave, a natural pool celebrated as one of the seven wonders of Sal Island.
After enjoying the lagoon, we'll make our way to Shark Bay, a location where you can encounter lemon sharks in their natural environment. As our tour concludes, we will visit the local towns of Murdeira and Espargos. In Espargos, the island's capital, you will have the option for an independent lunch. If time permits and you wish, we can also make a short stop at the Botanical Garden of Viveiro.
After approximately 7 hours of exploration around Sal Island, we will wrap up the private tour with your return to the hotel in Santa Maria.
