Description
In this experience, participants will ascend to the second level of the Eiffel Tower before embarking on a train journey from Paris to Versailles, which includes entry to the palace. It's a unique opportunity to discover two iconic attractions in a single day!
Tour Details
We will convene at the specified hour at 7 Avenue Silvestre de Sacy, conveniently located near the Eiffel Tower. From here, we will proceed to visit this iconic symbol of Paris.
Our first stop will be to appreciate the stunning design of this monumental structure, created by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World's Fair. After gaining insightful knowledge about its construction, we will ascend via the stairs to the first and second floors of the Eiffel Tower.
Standing at a height of 57 m (187 ft) on the first floor and 115 m (377.2 ft) on the second, we'll relish the panoramic views of Paris available from the observation deck. Key landmarks visible from here include the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, and the River Seine.
Following an informative 1.5-hour guided exploration of the Eiffel Tower, we'll stroll to the nearby Champ de Mars station. Here, we will board an RER train to Versailles, the historic capital of the French monarchy, making the journey in about 30 minutes. Prepare to be enchanted right from the start!
Upon arrival, a brief walk will lead us to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a stunning example of French Baroque architecture. You will then enjoy an hour of free time to wander and perhaps grab a drink.
Afterward, we’ll embark on a guided tour of the gardens of Versailles, lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. These enchanting gardens, designed by André Le Nôtre, showcase fountains, sculptures, and orderly pathways that echo the magnificence of the Sun King.
Throughout this tour, we will also admire the palace from the outside and share intriguing details about the court of Louis XIV, during whose reign this exquisite palace reached its zenith of splendor. At the conclusion of our garden tour, you will receive your ticket to the Palace of Versailles. Inside, you are free to explore at your own pace and visit renowned rooms like the Royal Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors, where the treaty concluding the First World War was signed.
This comprehensive experience spans a total of 8 hours. You will return to Paris from Versailles independently, using the open-time ticket provided, valid exclusively for the date of this activity.
