Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac Ticket
Description
By acquiring this ticket, you gain access to the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, a prestigious site that showcases one of the most significant anthropological collections of non-Western art in Paris, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich civilizations of the globe!
Description
Nestled along the Seine River, merely steps from the iconic Eiffel Tower, the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is home to an extraordinary anthropological collection. The striking structure created by renowned architect Jean Nouvel not only features a permanent exhibition but also boasts a lush garden containing over 150 different botanical species.
With your entry ticket, you have the opportunity to explore both the everlasting collection and the rotating exhibitions. These displays encompass the art, culture, history, folklore, and traditions of the illustrious civilizations from Africa, America, Asia, and Oceania.
In the sections dedicated to Africa, you will encounter countless archaeological artifacts from nations such as Mali, Benin, and Nigeria. Among the highlights are significant pieces from the Congo, along with masks and funerary artifacts from Cameroon and Ethiopia.
Transitioning to the thematic zones of the Americas, you'll uncover sculptures and figures from revered pre-Columbian civilizations, including the Mayans and Aztecs. Attire, footwear, and various garments from Indigenous peoples of North America and the Caribbean are also on display.
Do not overlook the Asian galleries, where the cultures of India, China, Japan, and other nations across the continent come to life. A visit to the Oceania section is equally rewarding, highlighting the art and traditions of Australia, New Zealand, and various island nations from Melanesia and Polynesia.
