Loire Valley Castles Day Trip
We'll meet at the indicated time in front of the Pullman Paris Bercy Hotel and proceed south to the Loire Valley. The journey will take close to 3 hours.
Once we arrive, we'll visit two of the following castles:
- Château de Chenonceau: Known as “The Ladies’ Castle,” established in 1513 and remodeled by notable women throughout its history.
- Château de Chambord: One of the largest in the region, constructed for King Francis I in 1519, recognized for its French Renaissance design and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1981.
After visiting the last palace, you’ll return by coach and arrive in central Paris at 8:30 pm, with a later arrival on Saturdays.
- Château de Cheverny: A Renaissance-style palace and World Heritage Site, known for its architecture that inspired Hergé's Castle of Moulinsart in Tintin.
The castle visited will depend on the season and availability. An average of 2 hours will be spent at each palace, with a lunch break of about 1 hour during the journey.
