Special Hours
- On December 24 and 31, the museum will close at 5 pm. The last admission to exhibitions will be at 4 pm, and the galleries will begin closing from 4:30 pm.
- On December 25 and January 1, the museum will be closed.
- In case of exceptional weather, the Musée d’Orsay will close at 5 pm on June 25, 26, and 27, with the last entry at 4 pm, for exhibitions at 4:15 pm, and the galleries starting to close at 4:30 pm.
Temporary Exhibitions
Your ticket permits access to all exhibitions, though it does not include priority entry; thus, you may need to wait in line to experience the temporary displays.
Complimentary Admission
Visitors can enter the Musée d'Orsay without charge under the following conditions:
- Individuals under 18 years old.
- Young adults from the European Union aged 18 to 25.
- Guests with disabilities and their accompanying person.
Additionally, all visitors can enjoy free admission on the first Sunday of the month, with a reservation still required for entry.

Renovation Plans
From March 10, 2026, until the summer of 2028, the Musée d'Orsay will undergo extensive renovations aimed at enhancing visitor facilities. The project is designed to improve the comfort of guests while minimizing the environmental impact of the facility.
Throughout the renovation, the museum and exhibitions will remain accessible during their regular hours, although a temporary entrance will be established at Entrance 2.
