Located on Rue de Rivoli, the MAD or Museum of Decorative Arts occupies the Rohan and Marsan wings of the Louvre Palace.

With your tickets to the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, you can access both the permanent collection and the temporary exhibitions at this center dedicated to fashion and design from the Middle Ages to the present day.

If you are interested in interior design, be sure to explore the rooms dedicated to Art Nouveau. Here, you’ll find an array of objects, including dressing tables, chairs, vases, glassware, chests, sideboards, sofas, and a remarkable display of living room furniture.

Fashion enthusiasts should not miss the textile collections. Through various suits, dresses, bags, jackets, hats, shawls, pashminas, scarves, skirts, and other garments, you can understand how clothing has evolved from the Middle Ages to today.

The museum also offers an extensive collection of decorative objects from different periods, such as wallpaper, photographs, advertising posters, cinema items, and more. Please be aware that the MAD in Paris spans three locations: the Rivoli Site (next to the Louvre Museum), the Monceau Site, and the Raspail Site. Your ticket will only grant access to the first location.

The Rivoli Site of the MAD is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

This audio guide for the Museum of Decorative Arts also includes a narration in English about the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame Cathedral. While admission to these two monuments is not included, you can learn about their history through the audio guide.
