Description

Embark on a journey to explore two iconic landmarks in Paris within a single day, and enjoy a cost-effective ticket that grants you access to the Sainte-Chapelle y la Conciergerie.

Sainte-Chapelle

Renowned as the "royal chapel of Île de la Cité", Sainte-Chapelle epitomizes Gothic architecture and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you step inside, you will be captivated by the stunning display of multicolored stained glass windows, acclaimed as the finest in Paris. Even on overcast days, the brilliance of light streaming through the intricate glass creates a mesmerizing atmosphere, inspiring some art historians to affectionately nickname it "the little glass box" of the French capital.

This chapel also showcases an impressive array of sacred art, reflecting pivotal moments such as the relics of the Passion, the life of Saint John the Baptist, and significant creations from Genesis.

Sainte-Chapelle Opening Hours

Your exploration of the Sainte-Chapelle will commence at the designated time chosen during your booking.

The Conciergerie visit must occur the same day as your visit to Sainte-Chapelle, and can be scheduled at any time within the following time frames:

  • April 1 to September 30: 9 am to 7 pm
  • October 1 to March 31: 9 am to 5 pm

Be aware that entry to the Conciergerie is allowed only 40 minutes before closing. These visiting hours are subject to adjustments on special occasions.

Access to the chapel is managed through 30-minute timed entries. For instance, if your appointed time is 10 am, you may enter any time between then and 10:30 am, and prior entry is not permitted.

It is advisable to visit the Sainte-Chapelle in the morning to avoid peak crowds.

Conciergerie Overview

This impressive Gothic palace previously served as the residence of the French monarchy during the Middle Ages, later transforming into a prison during the French Revolution. Its most notable inmate was Marie Antoinette, who was held here before her execution. As you traverse the splendid rooms and admire the remarkable architecture, you will also have the chance to descend into the dungeon where France's last queen spent her final moments.

Your ticket for the Conciergerie includes a complimentary informative leaflet in English and other languages. You can also opt for free guided tours in French, lasting approximately an hour, with schedules varying based on the day. For those interested in a French-guided tour, inquire with the staff upon arrival at the Conciergerie.

Conciergerie Visiting Hours

You may explore the Conciergerie on the same day as Sainte-Chapelle, during the following hours: 9:30 am to 6 pm.
