Sainte-Chapelle & Conciergerie Tickets
Description
Explore two of Paris' most stunning landmarks in a single day while benefiting from a cost-effective ticket that grants access to both the Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie.
Sainte-Chapelle
Revered as the "royal chapel of Île de la Cité", Sainte-Chapelle is a remarkable Gothic structure recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within its walls, visitors will marvel at an exceptional array of vibrant stained glass windows, widely regarded as the finest in Paris. Even on overcast days, the interior is beautifully illuminated by these exquisite panes, leading art historians to affectionately nickname it "the little glass box" of the city.
This chapel also features an impressive collection of sacred artwork, providing insights into the history of Passion relics and significant moments such as the life of Saint John the Baptist and passages from Genesis.
Sainte-Chapelle Opening Hours
Your entry into Sainte-Chapelle will occur at the designated time you selected.
For the Conciergerie, visits must occur on the same day as your trip to Sainte-Chapelle and can be arranged at any time within these hours:
- From April 1 to September 30: 9 am to 7 pm
- From October 1 to March 31: 9 am to 5 pm
Note that the final entry to the Conciergerie is allowed one hour before closing. Operating hours may vary on certain special occasions.
Access to the monument is regulated through 30-minute intervals. For example, if your time is set for 10 am, you may enter any time from 10 am to 10:30 am, but earlier access is not permitted.
It is advisable to visit Sainte-Chapelle during the morning hours to enjoy a less crowded experience.
Conciergerie Overview
This historical Gothic palace served as a residence for the French royal family during the medieval period but was converted into a prison during the French Revolution. Among its most notable inmates was Marie Antoinette, who was imprisoned here prior to her execution. Visitors can explore the grand rooms and admire the remarkable architecture, as well as descent into the cells that housed the last queen of France during her final days.
Your entry ticket grants you a complimentary informative leaflet in English and other languages. Guided tours in French are also available at no extra cost. These tours last approximately one hour, with schedules varying based on the day. If interested in a French-guided tour, inquire with the staff at the Conciergerie.
