Your adventure begins at 7:30 am when we pick you up from your accommodation in Pereira, embarking on a 35-kilometer journey towards La Virginia.

We will first stop at the El Guásimo Natural Reserve, which spans 1,400 hectares in the lush Cauca River Valley. Here, enjoy a three-hour trek along a nature trail that weaves through the reserve.

Upon reaching the Cauca River, we will follow its flow for an hour, traversing the dense greenery of the dry tropical forest. Remarkably, this is the sole forest of its type in the Andean region, underscoring the significance of the park’s efforts to protect its 400 hectares of dry Andean forest.

As we navigate through this natural haven, you will encounter a rich variety of flora and fauna. This excursion is an ideal blend of physical activity, nature observation, and ecological significance!

During the trip, we will pause for lunch, featuring a traditional dish accompanied by a drink. Subsequently, we will proceed to La Virginia, a charming town situated at the confluence of the Cauca and Risaralda rivers, where you'll discover its key attractions alongside intriguing local legends and customs.

Our journey wraps up with a return to Pereira, where we will drop you off at your hotel around 1:30 pm.
