Day Trip Overview

Our adventure commences with a convenient pickup from your hotel, setting off towards the captivating shores of Bacalar Lake. This remarkable lagoon captivates visitors with its vibrant water colors.

Once aboard our bus, we’ll swiftly make our way to the charming village of Bacalar. Here, we'll embark on a serene boat excursion across the lagoon, where you'll encounter the iconic stromatolites of Bacalar. These unique mineral formations resemble reefs and possess natural properties, serving as gentle exfoliants for the skin.

Following our boat ride, the adventure continues at Pirate's Canal, where you'll enjoy some leisure time to swim in the crystalline waters and revitalize at the nearby Cenote Negro. You'll discover the reason behind the lagoon's captivating name.

Next, we will visit San Felipe Fort, a historical fortress erected during the 18th-century conflicts with English forces. From this vantage point, stunning panoramas of Bacalar await you. Our final destination will be Isla Pájaros, a tranquil island teeming with birds, where you can unwind in the soothing waters of this natural paradise.

Concluding the day, we will return to the starting point after a fulfilling 12 to 13-hour excursion exploring Bacalar.
