Experience the thrill of adventure on a quad bike expedition through the Mayan jungle starting from Playa del Carmen. This journey includes a refreshing swim in a cenote and a visit to the Tulum archaeological site.

Activity Overview

At the agreed time, your journey begins as we collect you from the meeting point selected during your reservation. Prepare yourself for an engaging day filled with excitement!

Upon arrival, we’ll kick off with a traditional Mayan welcome ceremony guided by a local shaman, intended to revitalize your spirit and deepen your connection with nature.

Next, the adventure intensifies. You’ll receive a concise safety briefing for quad biking, and once you’re equipped with the necessary knowledge, you’ll hop onto a robust 450 cc quad bike as we navigate lush dirt trails amid tropical flora.

At the midpoint of our journey, we’ll pause to enjoy the refreshing waters of a stunning cave cenote, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites that the ancient Mayans viewed as gateways to the underworld.

We’ll continue our exploration down more jungle paths, stopping for a delightful coffee break, where you can also savor a dish featuring local cuisine.

The pinnacle of this excursion is a guided visit to Tulum’s archaeological site, the renowned Mayan city with its imposing cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Explore these historic ruins while taking in striking views of the turquoise waters.

Once the tour wraps up, we’ll make our way back to the starting point, concluding a memorable 8-hour experience as we bid farewell.

Pickup Information

This activity provides pickup services from hotels in Playa del Carmen or from the meeting point located at calle 12 Norte, esquina con Av. 10 Norte. You can select your preferred pickup location during the booking process.

Quad Bike Options

When you book, you can choose from the following options based on whether you prefer to ride solo or with a companion:

Individual quad bike tour: this option allows you to operate the quad bike alone
Double quad bike tour: ideal for two individuals wishing to share one quad bike

Quad Bike Driving Requirements

Please note that you must be at least 16 years old to operate the quad bikes. If you do not meet this requirement, you are welcome to join as a passenger.

Important information

The local tour operator will contact you the day before the tour to confirm the exact pickup time at your hotel or at the meeting point, depending on what you selected when you booked. In any case, we recommend that you be ready 15 minutes in advance.

Please note that accommodations such as Airbnb listings, boutique hotels, or residential areas that are difficult to access by vehicle will have a nearby designated meeting point.
Activities will take place as scheduled in case of rain.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes suitable for driving, a swimsuit, and a towel, as well as sunscreen and insect repellent. The insect repellent must be biodegradable to protect the cenotes.
It's essential to bring cash to pay the entrance fees and taxes for the park and the Tulum archaeological site: 1000MXN per person.
