Free Tour of Puebla
Description
Puebla is a city that combines history, art, and tradition in every corner. On this free tour, we'll walk through its most emblematic streets to discover why it's one of the destinations recognised as a World Heritage Site.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Zócalo, Puebla's main square, to begin this free tour of its must-see sights. Let's go!
First, we'll walk to the Rosario Chapel, considered one of the most beautiful gems of New Spain Baroque architecture, famous for its impressive gold-covered decoration. Our next stop will be La Victoria, one of Puebla's first shopping centres, a space where the old and the new coexist in perfect harmony.
We'll continue on to the Regional Museum of the Mexican Revolution, a large house that preserves the most important memories and events of this historical period. The tour will then take us to the Artista neighbourhood, a charming corner full of workshops and galleries where artists create and exhibit their works.
Nearby, we'll find the El Parián Market, Puebla's most famous craft market, ideal for buying souvenirs, handicrafts and, if you wish, trying some typical dishes such as chalupas, cemitas or Puebla sweets.
Afterwards, we'll continue to the picturesque Callejón de los Sapos, a colourful space renowned for its antique shops and festive atmosphere. Further on, we'll visit the Casa de la Cultura, an old mansion that now houses exhibitions and the oldest library on the continent, the Palafoxiana Library.
Lastly, we'll stop in front of the imposing Puebla Cathedral, one of the most majestic temples in Mexico, whose Renaissance façade and monumental towers have become a symbol of the city.
At this last point, we'll say our final goodbyes after a total of 2.5 hours.
