8-Day Photography Experience in Tambopata
Day 1
Upon your arrival at Puerto Maldonado airport, we'll transport you to the shores of Sandoval Lake. While journeying, seize opportunities to capture photos of various endemic bird species found along the riverbanks.
Your adventure will conclude at a cozy lodge in Tambopata, where you will stay for the next several nights, enjoying a full board service. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind and explore the lodge's amenities while preparing for the days ahead.
Day 2
Awake to a new day! After breakfast, we will venture into the traditional agricultural region of Loero to meet local farmers and workers. You'll photograph everyday farm life, from the fields to the animals and the people engaged in their daily routines.
Day 3
On the third day, following breakfast, we'll visit the chestnut fields for a photography tour. This will provide you with the chance to capture exceptional images of the chestnut harvest.
Day 4
Today, we're exploring underground! We will journey into the gold mines of Tambopata for a photographic glimpse into the mining processes happening beneath the surface.
Day 5
After a hearty breakfast, we'll embark on a quest to photograph endemic bird species. Our destination will be the Corredor Bajo de Tambopata, where you'll find various viewpoints ideal for capturing images of birds and other wildlife.
Day 6
On our second-to-last day, we will focus on capturing the essence of the diverse Amazonian ecosystems. A visit to the secondary forest will allow you to photograph different plant and animal species, as well as local agroforestry systems to learn about their operations and photograph them.
Day 7
Time flies when you're exploring! Our final full day will lead us to the banks of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers. We'll take a canoe ride along the rivers, offering you the opportunity to photograph close-ups of various river birds, including herons, parrots, and macaws. After the canoeing adventure, we’ll return to the lodge to prepare for departure.

Important information
We'll pick you up at the Puerto Maldonado Airport arrivals terminal.
We recommend getting a yellow fever vaccination before taking this tour.
Adapt your clothes to the climate: Puerto Maldonado, like the whole Amazon, has only two seasons: the rainy season from January to the end of March, and the dry season from April to December. The average temperature is 28 degrees Celsius and the average humidity is 80%.
For the excursions in the jungle we recommend bringing long trousers, long sleeve tops, pocket or head torches, a rechargeable water bottle, and a small backpack to carry water and spare t-shirts.
We also recommend using insect repellent and sun cream, as well as a hat or something similar to protect you from the sun.
