Tambopata Photography 8 Day Trip

Day 1

Your adventure begins with a pickup from the airport in Puerto Maldonado, followed by a scenic transfer to the shores of Sandoval Lake. Along the way, there will be opportunities to photograph various endemic river birds uniquely.

Upon arrival, we will settle in at the lodge in Tambopata, where full board accommodations await for the following nights. The rest of the day is yours to unwind and explore the facilities in preparation for the days ahead.

Day 2

Awaken to a new day! After breakfast, we will venture to Loero, a traditional farming district, where you can photograph local farmers and their animals amidst the agricultural landscape as they engage in daily routines.

Day 3

Day three will take us to the chestnut fields, where you can enjoy a dedicated photography tour. This will be your chance to capture distinctive images of the thriving chestnut crops.

Day 4

Get ready for an intriguing experience as we delve underground to explore the gold mines of Tambopata. Here, you'll have the opportunity to document the fascinating mining activities.

Day 5

After a hearty breakfast, our quest for endemic birds will begin. We will make our way to the Corredor Bajo de Tambopata, where several viewpoints will allow us to observe and photograph these beautiful birds, along with a variety of other wildlife.

Day 6

On the sixth day, we will celebrate the untouched wilderness of the diverse Amazonian ecosystems. A visit to the secondary forest will provide insights into various flora and fauna, and we'll explore local agroforestry systems to learn about their significance and capture them on camera.

Day 7

As the trip draws to a close, our final full day will be dedicated to exploring the banks of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers. A canoe ride will offer intimate photo opportunities of various river birds, including herons, parrots, and macaws. After this venture, we will return to the lodge to prepare for departure.

Day 8

We'll conclude our journey with farewells, enjoy breakfast, and head back to Puerto Maldonado, ensuring you are dropped off at the airport three hours prior to your flight.

Your stay includes 7 nights' accommodation at an ecolodge situated in Tambopata.

The accommodations are provided on a full board basis, covering all breakfasts, lunches, and dinners throughout the stay.
