Tour Overview

Your journey begins with a hotel pickup at the scheduled time, leading us into a fascinating discovery of Puerto Varas, often referred to as the City of Roses. Let’s embark on this adventure!

Our first destination is a scenic viewpoint that presents breathtaking panoramas of Lake Llanquihue. Next, we will wander through the historical center of Puerto Varas, immersing ourselves in the stories of this city, which was established in the 19th century.

We will explore the charming old quarter and appreciate the striking exterior of significant landmarks, including the Baroque Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose architectural style evokes a similar temple found in Germany's Baden-Württemberg—a detail that we will uncover during our excursion.

Continuing our journey, we will board a minibus and head westward to experience the picturesque scenery of the Lake District. Our first stop will be in the quaint town of Nueva Braunau, notable for its traditional lifestyle and numerous dairy farms. Here, we will visit the Antonio Felmer Museum, which showcases an impressive array of artifacts from the region’s early inhabitants.

Our exploration will then lead us to the Lahuen Ñadi Natural Monument. We’ll enjoy a walk through a pristine larch forest, where we can observe diverse flora and an array of birdlife, including the black woodpecker and the black-throated huet-huet, along with mammals such as the pudú and the gray fox. Be prepared to capture the beauty around you with your camera!

After a brief hiking excursion, we will arrive at the Angelmó market in Puerto Montt, bustling with stalls offering fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood. Surrounding the market, you’ll also find various handicraft kiosks, providing an opportunity to purchase a memorable souvenir or some local snacks.

Your experience will conclude between 3:30 PM and 4 PM, with a return to your hotel.

The tour includes hotel pickup in Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt. Please indicate the name of your hotel and its location at the time of booking. Pickup times are as follows:

• Puerto Varas: 7:45 AM
• Puerto Montt: 8:30 AM

If your accommodations are outside the city center, we will reach out to coordinate an alternative meeting location.

Note that this tour is not available for cruise travelers, as pickup from the port is not an option.
