Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pickup at the arranged time, followed by a drive toward the northern region, bringing you to the picturesque town of Miches. Exciting moments await!

Upon arrival at the coast of Miches, you will board a comfortable catamaran ready for an exploration of Samaná Bay. Setting sail, our primary goal is to encounter the magnificent humpback whales during their migration period from January to March when they arrive in these warm Caribbean waters to breed.

As you glide across the water, seize the opportunity to witness humpback whales in their natural environment, often seen with their calves. The crew will share fascinating insights about their behaviors, including how they surface and the unique sounds they use for communication. It’s truly a captivating experience!

Following this remarkable encounter, we will return to the shore to transfer to another boat which will take us deeper into the Los Haitises National Park. Here, you will anticipate the sight of unique rock formations and lush islets jutting out of the water. Navigating through the serene swamps, where countless birds and other wildlife thrive, our guide will reveal the park’s rich history and highlight the ancient cave paintings that adorn its cave walls.

Feeling hungry? We will then make our way to a local restaurant in Miches for a delightful traditional Dominican lunch. Feast on a selection of fish, seafood, rice and beans, accompanied by a fresh seasonal salad, all paired with natural juices and soft drinks to quench your thirst. Enjoy a true taste of the region!

After recharging, we will commence our return journey to your hotel, concluding our adventure approximately 12 hours after our pickup.
