Golden Circle Tour Itinerary
On the day of your tour, meet your guide at the central meeting point in Reykjavik, ready to begin your tour of the Golden Circle, a region of southern Iceland famous for its numerous spectacular natural sights.
You'll head east in the direction of Geysir. As the name suggests, this area is home to extensive geothermal activity and a number of geysers. Amongst steaming hot springs, you'll discover Strokkur, one of the most famous geysers in Iceland, which launches a 15 to 20 metre-tall (49 to 66 foot) column of boiling water into the air every 10 minutes... don't get too close!
Continue on your route around the Golden Circle to Gullfoss Waterfall, a large cascade that plunges to a depth of more than 30 metres (over 100 feet). Strolling alongside the waterfall, you'll feel the cool breeze rising off the water as you admire one of Iceland's most stunning scenes. After exploring Gullfoss, you'll take a break for lunch (not included).
With recharged batteries, you'll head to your next stop, Thingvellir National Park, which has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. As well as being an incredible natural space, Thingvellir was the location of the Icelandic parliament between 930 and 1798. You'll see Thingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland, at the location where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates join.
After enjoying free time to discover this impressive volcanic landscape at your own pace, you'll make the return journey to Reykjavik.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You will meet your guide at the specified central location in Reykjavik to commence your Golden Circle tour.
The itinerary includes visits to Geysir, Gullfoss Waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park. Lunch is not included and may occur after the Gullfoss stop; however, it may also take place near Geysir on certain occasions.

MEETING POINTS
During the booking process, you will receive a list of meeting points including most hotels in Reykjavik. If your hotel is not on the list, you will be required to reach the closest applicable meeting point. As many of the central streets are not bus accessible, identifier numbers for nearby bus stops will be provided.
TOUR WITHOUT PICKUP
If opting for the tour without pickup, you will need to go directly to the BSÍ Bus Terminal in the city centre.
TOUR ACCESSIBILITY
The bus is equipped to accommodate foldable wheelchairs. However, please note that the natural sites visited may not always be accessible to those with reduced mobility.

Important information
This activity does not include pick up in all hotels, as much of the centre of Reykjavik is not accessible by bus. If your hotel does not appear when making the reservation you will have been told the nearest bus stop. If next to the name of your hotel you see the phrase "bus stop" with a number, you will have to head to that stop. In this case, please be at that stop at least 30 minutes ahead of time.

Please remember that food is not included, so you should bring your own food and drinks.
We recommend dressing according to weather conditions, which are extremely variable, so please wear layers and always bring a waterproof jacket. Remember to wear comfortable shoes.
