Cruise for Northern Lights in Faxaflói Bay
On the scheduled day, we will gather at the Old Harbor of Reykjavík and board a vessel designed to explore one of nature's most captivating displays: the northern lights.
Our journey will take us westward, specifically towards Faxaflói Bay. Throughout the cruise, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the Reykjavík shoreline, where iconic landmarks like the Harpa concert hall and Hallgrímskirkja church glimmer in the night.
As we delve further into the darkness, the northern lights will reveal their mesmerizing colors across the sky, creating an unforgettable spectacle. Additionally, our guide will share legends associated with the auroras and explain how to identify the various types of auroras that one may encounter.
Onboard, guests can take a moment to relax on the outdoor deck, perfect for capturing stunning photographs with unobstructed panoramic views of the night sky. For those who prefer staying inside, a comfortable heated space is available, offering a cozy retreat and large windows to enjoy the scenery.
After a two-hour excursion on the water, we will return to our original harbor.
