We'll convene at your selected time in Fógetagarðurinn Park and commence our exploration of Reykjavik's festive adornments.

Our first stop will be at the nearby Ingólfur Square, home to a picturesque ice skating rink and a charming Christmas market brimming with local crafts.

As we continue our leisurely walk, marvel at the radiant holiday lights while we delve into intriguing insights about Icelandic Christmas customs. You may be surprised to learn about the 13 Santas! We will share stories of the Jólasveinarnir and the timing of their gift-giving. Additionally, you'll discover the tale of Jolakotturin, a notorious feline with a unique connection to the festive period.

Our route will guide us to the renowned Austurvöllur Square, where you'll encounter Iceland's most iconic Christmas tree. Since 1952, this tree has been gifted to Reykjavik by Oslo, symbolizing the enduring friendship between the two cities.

Following a photo opportunity with the Christmas tree, we'll wander along Laugavegur Street, Reykjavik's bustling main shopping thoroughfare. Here, we'll appreciate the holiday displays in shops as we move towards the impressive Hallgrímskirkja Church, the tallest church in the nation.
