Ice Cave Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Reykjavik and begin this exciting tour of the Langjökull glacier ice cave. Let's go!

Our first stop will be in the town of Húsafell, where we'll hop in a snow truck, a vehicle designed for traversing icy terrain, which will transport us to the Langjökull glacier.

Upon arrival, we'll start to explore this artificial cave, extending for over 300 metres inside the glacier. Learn about the engineering marvel that allowed for tunnel excavation beneath thousands of years of compacted ice.

We’ll navigate through corridors deep within the Langjökull glacier and discover chambers with exceptional acoustics and striking blue ice formations only found at the glacier's core. The tour concludes with a visit to the Ice Cave Chapel, an ideal spot for catching a glimpse of the aurora borealis.

We will conclude our experience back at the starting point, having spent a total of 9 hours together.
