Description
Explore the South Coast of Iceland and discover spectacular volcanic landscapes and waterfalls that will leave you breathless. Unmissable!
Waterfalls & South Coast of Iceland Tour
After picking you up from your selected meeting point in Reykjavik at the indicated time, we'll leave the city behind to tour the south coast of Iceland. During the journey, enjoy the view of the lava fields at the foot of Hengill Mountain. On clear days, we might see the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes along with the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago.
Our first stop will be the Skógafoss waterfall, rising over 196 ft (60 m), where you can marvel at the water cascading down and capture photos of the rainbows that often adorn the mist on sunny days.
Next, we will head to the village of Vík, where you’ll have approximately 1 hour of free time to have lunch. This village is known as the southernmost town in Iceland.
After lunch, we’ll visit the exceptional black sand beach of Reynisfjara, known for its dramatic basalt stacks that rise from the sea. Explore this unique beach filled with black stones while hearing the legend of the wicked trolls who sought to destroy a ship on the rocks.
Our journey continues to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where we’ll climb to the mountain and reach a cave behind the falls. Through this cave, you'll enjoy a distinct view of the beautiful Icelandic landscape through the curtain of water.
After 10.5 to 11 hours of exploring the waterfalls and southern coast of Iceland, we will return to the original departure points in Reykjavik.
