Speedboat Whale Watching
At your designated time, we will gather at the meeting point of your preference in Reykjavik. We will then board a speedboat to navigate through the waters of Faxaflói Bay, a region in the North Atlantic that proudly shelters the humpback whale, an impressive marine species.
Throughout our two-hour speedboat journey, we will have the chance to observe the remarkable humpback whales that grace the waters surrounding Iceland. Additionally, we may encounter other marine life such as killer whales and dolphins. Keep in mind that animal sightings can vary with the seasons, making each trip a unique experience!
This whale-watching expedition is conducted on a 40-foot (12-meter) speedboat, enabling us to approach the marine life closely while prioritizing safety. An English-speaking guide will inform us about the fascinating traits of humpback whales, their lifestyle, and the significance of conserving these incredible creatures.
During summer months, we will venture closer to Akurey Island, where a thriving community of puffins nests. As we bounce across the waves, breathtaking views of the Reykjavik coastline will unfold. Be sure to capture these moments with your camera!
Your tour concludes at the same location from which we embarked.
Meeting Points
Upon completing your reservation, you will see a selection of hotels in Reykjavik. Each hotel listing will show the nearest meeting point. Since many streets in the city center are not bus-accessible, you will need to proceed to this designated meeting location, marked as "Bus stop" followed by a number.
For instance, if you select "8:30 pm - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (Please wait at bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata)", you should arrive at bus stop number 4 (Tryggvagata) by 8:30 pm. Further details regarding these stops will be included in your booking confirmation.

This activity does not include pickup from all hotels as most of the streets in the center of Reykjavik aren't accessible by bus. You'll see the nearest bus stop next to the name of your hotel during the booking process. Please go to that stop on the day of the activity. Here is the list of bus stops:
