Train Journey to Christ the Redeemer and Rio Sightseeing

Around the designated time, our guide will pick you up from your accommodation to commence an enriching exploration of the key highlights of Rio de Janeiro. We will start by boarding a train that will transport us to Christ the Redeemer, the massive emblematic statue of Jesus Christ that oversees the vibrant life of this “carioca” metropolis.

Throughout the scenic train ride, you will traverse through lush tropical jungle for approximately 20 minutes, leading to the pinnacle of Corcovado. This historic train line, inaugurated in 1884, has welcomed many notable figures, including popes and royalty. These eco-friendly electric trains align with the city’s commitment to preserving Tijuca Forest, the largest urban rainforest globally.

Named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007, the Christ the Redeemer offers some of the most stunning views of Rio.

Once we descend back to lower elevations, we will explore the city’s main attractions. Have you ever wanted to step foot in the Maracanã Stadium or the Sambadrome? We will stop briefly outside these landmarks and share the intriguing histories associated with them.

Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, an impressive contemporary building that draws inspiration from the Mayan temples of Central America. Our final destination will be the Selaron Steps, known for their vibrant colors and artistic expression.

The guided tour will conclude back at the initial meeting point.
