Tour Overview
We will gather at the predetermined meeting point and travel to the Santa Marta favela. To navigate the steep hills characteristic of carioca landscapes, we will utilize the renowned funicular to reach the summit of the community.
Our initial highlight will be the Mirador do Pedrão, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Guanabara Bay, Botafogo Cove, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Sugarloaf Mountain.
As we meander through the maze-like streets, we will discuss the rich history of the area while admiring the colorful homes. A visit to an art center and the local sports court will enrich our experience as we encounter various street art murals along our path.
A highlight of the tour will also include a stop at the Lage do Michael Jackson, the viewpoint showcasing a sculpture of the legendary artist, famously featured in the video for They Don't Care About Us. Following our explorations on foot, the tour will conclude.

Standard Tour (2 Hours)
This option is ideal for those seeking the basic itinerary outlined above. The meeting point for this tour is located at Praça de Corumbá.
Sunset Tour + Tasting (4 Hours)
Following the standard route, we will visit the LaGezinha Santa Marta restaurant and bar. Enjoy a refreshing caipirinha, beer, or a chilled soft drink accompanied by a local snack such as house fries or frango a passarinho (fried chicken). Perched high in the favela, this venue offers a panoramic view of the entire South Zone of Rio, including the iconic Christ the Redeemer. Experience the magic as the sky transforms with hues of gold and orange at sunset.
The meeting point for this option is Rua São Clemente 307, in Botafogo.
