Tour Details

This guided exploration begins at a meeting point of your choice. We will first make our way to Marechal Floriano Square, a significant landmark in Rio de Janeiro.

At the square, we will appreciate the stunning external architecture of some of the most iconic buildings in Rio's historic center, including the Municipal Theatre, the câmara municipal government building, and the National Library. Rather than entering these structures, we will admire their striking facades. We will, however, visit the Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading, renowned as one of the city's most beautiful libraries.

Continuing our tour, we will stroll along the central streets of the city and take a pause at a local bar to enjoy a tasting of three varieties of cachaça, one of Brazil's renowned alcoholic beverages. As we delve into the historical heart of Rio de Janeiro, we will stop by the Confeitaria Colombo, the city’s oldest café, alongside the Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé royal church, and several other noteworthy sites.

The guided tour will conclude at Praça XV de Novembro Square.

Schedules & Meeting Points

Upon booking, you will have the option to select either a morning or afternoon tour. Additionally, please choose from one of the following meeting points:

• Outside the Copacabana Palace Hotel: at 9:20 am or 2:30 pm
• In front of the Municipal Theatre, Cinelândia Square: at 9:50 am or 3:10 pm

Note: On Saturdays, the tour is available only in the morning.

Important Information

• The tour includes only one-way tickets for public transport.
• On Saturdays, entrance to monuments is not covered; this incurs an additional fee of 5 Brazilian Reals. Additionally, the Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading will be closed on this day.
